Place aux compositrices!

The newly formed Duo Stylo (Winnie Huiwen Cheng – violin & Chiahu Lee – piano) has been created with 2 main goals in mind: to share and commission new music, and to bring the audience closer to rarely performed pieces that are approachable within the classical setting of piano and violin.

In their first concert on 8th November at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, the duo has chosen pieces written by female composers across the globe in the past 90 years. Duo Stylo has arranged them in a set of two suites/continents, wishing to take the listener on a musical journey.

The piece by YenTing Lo, especially commissioned by the duo, will be performed for the very first time in this concert.
